Road Trip - Bridgeport, CA

The courthouse is located in Bridgeport, a town five blocks long with a year-round population of less than 1,000 people. It's a cute little place, though, and fall is the perfect time of year to be there... after the summer tourist crowd has gone home but before the winter storms have arrived.

This is Ric, standing in front of the courthouse.

And this is the courthouse. Pretty, huh? Of course, it is an officially recognized historical landmark.

And here I am, hanging out in the old jail.

And this is the hot springs just outside of Bridgeport. The water is so warm, bubbling right out of the ground and dropping back into pools along Robinson Creek. The river is nearly freezing, but the combination of hot spring and cold river water makes for the perfect warm water!
